724 Lake Ave is a modern townhome in Delray Beach, completed in 2022. Lake Ave runs through one of Delray Beach's established east-side residential neighborhoods, with proximity to the Intracoastal and the city's coastal zone that shapes both the construction requirements and the design program. A modern townhome in this context means building for the environment as much as for the aesthetic: impact-resistant systems, elevated finished floors, durable exterior finishes that perform in the salt-air environment, and a site plan that takes advantage of prevailing breezes and outdoor living opportunities.
The construction scope at 724 Lake Ave covered the full range of a new build: civil coordination for the site, structural engineering to Palm Beach County's high-velocity wind zone standard, a complete MEP system designed for long-term performance in a humid coastal climate, and interior finishes selected for both quality and durability. South Florida homes are tested by the environment every year — humidity, salt air, tropical storm seasons — and the material choices made during construction determine how well a home holds up to that testing over time.
SouthShore's work in East Delray Beach extends across multiple residential neighborhoods, and the 724 Lake Ave project reflects the same execution standard as the firm's other Delray Beach completions. By 2022, the City of Delray Beach permitting process, the inspection schedule, and the subcontractor relationships were well-established for SouthShore, and the Lake Ave project benefited from that institutional knowledge.
